These reports are different than most analyst or market research reports. It doesn’t describe market expectations in numbers or volumes, neither does it give an overview of different vendors and compares them based on offered features and functions. These reports are targeted at organisations, Service Bureaus, Commercial printers and also vendors who want to understand the options in innovating with respect to document based communication. Each organisation needs to communicate with its customers, either through a direct sales contact or through the paper invoice. Communicating via a document (paper or electronic) is still one of the most important means to connect with the customer. Through these moments of contact, customer satisfaction is achieved, there are options for cross-selling and up-selling. Communication within the current environment of Going Green is also an excellent means to redesign the document, change from paper to electronic channels and build Customer Self Service portals. Both reports are containing many questions which can be used as a guidance for the organisation in its struggle to innovate and define a strategy based on independent advice.
